Background
Hello Kitty is a simply drawn character created by the Japanese company
Sanrio in the late 1970's. Hello Kitty's world includes a whole
array of friends, her twin sister Mimmy, her boyfriend Dear Daniel, family and
pets - Charmmy Kitty and a pet hamster called Sugar.
Hello Kitty has been marketed in the United States and Europe and became popular
during the 1990s when several celebrities, such as Mariah Carey and Britney
Spears, asopted her as a fashion statement. Hello Kitty is available on a
huge variety of merchandise including clothing, fashion accessories, jewellry,
beauty products, stationery, electronics and cuddly toys.
Kelly Kitty Cross-Stitch
DMC have obtained the licence to create Hello Kitty in cross-stitch designs and
there is now a small range available with more designs planned for later in
2008. The 1st series we have in stock are kits worked on soluble canvas,
which allow you to stitch Hello Kitty designs onto everyday articles such as
