Background
Lickle Ted is a character created by artists Emma Lake and Adam
Pescott and was initially established in the greetings cards market.
The aim of the Lickle Ted design project was to to create a cute
and lovable character, who would capture the imagination of its target
audience. Lickle Ted also has a unique identity that sets him apart
from the myriad of “cute bears” currently popular in the industry.
Lickle Ted has been designed as a gift product rather than toy, and
is aimed predominantly at the female teen and adult market. The styling
of Lickle Ted (images, colours, labels, packaging, fonts and messaging) is
therefore more mature.
Cross-Stitch Designs
DMC have obtained the licence to create Lickle Ted cross-stitch
designs and there is a full range of cross-stitch kits and charts including
birth samplers and a cuddly toy with an aida panel to stitch a personalised
message.
