Sarah Kay is an Australian artist who is well known for depicting a romantic and
naïve universe, a childhood filled with happiness, sweetness and tenderness.
Her drawings cover all subjects children love: friendship, nature, animals,
play.
An art school graduate, Sarah Kay began drawing happy children, set in peaceful
and natural backgrounds, which were recollections of her own childhood spent on
her own grandparents’ farm.

Sarah Kay offered her drawings to one of the biggest Australian greetings
cards publishers, John Sands who has been the leader in the Australasian
greeting cards market for 175 years. This brought almost immediate
success to Sarah Kay who subsequently became known world-wide - particularly in
Europe. Her drawings are now be seen in books, on dolls, puzzles,
bed linen, tableware and cross stitch.
