Welcome to our tapestry and long stitch page
Tapestry is usually worked in tent stitch, where only half of the cross is stitched. It is often worked on a
printed canvas.
Long stitch is worked by stitching verticle lines over over
two or more threads, giving a distinctive and interesting effect.
Both tapestry and long stitch are great for beginners who may find cross stitch too difficult or for those who just prefer this form of stitching on a printed canvas.
Seasons in Long stitch
